Object
LIGHT benefited CEDAE with a Project of Energy Efficiency for the Guandu Water Treatment Plant, the biggest water treatment plant in the world, with a 43.000 l/s treatment capacity, and an investment of R$ 18 MM, wherein the project provided energy savings, but also water loss reduction. Vitalux was hired by Light to implement the Project of Energy Efficiency.
Scope
- Adaptation of waterflow in the filter backwash systems (fbw);
- Substitution of over 200 fbw valves (d =300 a 1.200 mm);
- Elimination of treated water loss in fbw systems;
- Reduction in return water consumption and demand in the Marapicu System;
- Substitution of motor pump sets in the fbw system;
